Getting there can be a bit tricky if you don't slow down to read the teeny-weeny yellow signs that point you there and through a maze of houses. It's off the road that links Tiger Lane or uh ... Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, I think (ok I suck at "new" names for Ipoh's roads) to Gunung Rapat. I honestly don't know what that road's called ... just turn off Tiger Lane when you hit the traffic lights in front of Jabatan Kimia ...
One thing I noticed about cave entrances in Ipoh, is that all of them have a naturally flat piece of land right up front. Kek Look Tong has that (just before the steps you see in the above photo) - and then some - more on that later. There's a lil waterfall to the right of the cave entrance that flows into a pond with a statue of the Goddess of Mercy right in the middle.
The cave entrance is not really wide, as with other caves found in Ipoh, but it sure has good ceilings:
We go further in. This is halfways into the cave, which sorta narrows before opening up again on the other side (sorry for the blurry pic):
Annnnnd ... this is the surprising bit. A heckuva big piece of flat land (it's so green!) complete with pond and jogging track, spreads out on this other side of the cave, surrounded by more limestone cliffs:

Pretty cool, huh? I think the jogging track in the midst of limestone cliffs is amazing stuff. Many come here in the mornings and evenings to get some light workout done with family - awesome. Maybe it's time for me to put on my jogging shoes again ... Entrance to all of this goodness is free. However, donations and contributions of cash towards the upkeep of the Kek Look Tong Cave Temple is much appreciated - there's a booth and counter inside. It's all good, people :)
